RESEARCH: A total of 60 patients presenting mild or mild to moderate ED were enrolled in a double-blind, placebo-controlled study in which the efficacies of KRG and a placebo were compared. Results: The five-item version of the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) score after the treatment was significantly higher in the KRG group compared with that before the treatment.

In contrast, there was no difference before and after the treatment in the placebo group. In the KRG group, 66.6% reported improved erection, significant in the global efficacy question; in the placebo group there was no significance. Scores on rigidity, penetration, and maintenance were significantly higher for KRG than those for the placebo when questions regarding the same were answered after 12 weeks of each treatment. (2)

RESEARCH: In a double-blind, randomised, placebo-controlled trial involving 120 healthy men between the ages of 43 and 70, an optimal dose of Fenugreek extract during a 12-week trial showed significant improvement in sexual function and serum testosterone as evidenced by the number of morning erections and frequency of sexual activity.

“Free testosterone levels were improved up to 46% in 90% of the study population….Majority of the subjects enrolled in the study demonstrated improvements in mental alertness and mood. Furthermore, cardiovascular health and libido were significantly improved.” (3)
